Cleaning Alarms

As an ISO 9001 Sira Approved Fire Alarm Installer, we are often asked advice on cleaning alarms. The environment the detector is in will determine how often you'll need to clean it; for a normal household environment with little dust we would recommend once a year. If there is a lot of dust cleaned up on a regular basis from the location of the detector this would be increased to every 6 months.

If you are getting false alarms, it is always worth cleaning the device as it may solve the problem.
